Veterans Florida, University of Florida Offer Paid Training for a Career in Hardware Security

Published on February 3, 2025

Veterans Florida is partnering with the University of Florida to offer free training for selected veterans interested in a career in the booming field of hardware security.

This will be the second year of the VETS-HASTE program, (Veterans Hardware Security Training and Education).

The six-month program provides industry-driven courses and hands-on learning in hardware security through the University of Florida. Veterans participating in the program have the opportunity to acquire hardware security skills, collaborate with mentors from industry partners, and find pathways into careers.

Selected participants will receive a $10,000 stipend and, while most of the training is done at home, an additional $2,500 for travel to the University of Florida for initial in-person lectures and graduation.

The application period will open on February 10, classes are scheduled to begin in May.
