Col Michael Englis currently serves as the Army Capabilities Manager- Fires Cell and Targeting at the Fires Center of Excellence at Fort Sill. His job responsibility includes ensuring that the fire forces are prepared for complex large scale operations.
LTC Timothy Godwin is currently the Product Manager- Fire Support Command and Control for PEO C3N. His position is responsible for the total lifecycle systems management of the Fire Support Command and Control (FSC2) portfolio.
In their Joint Discussion, "Driving the Development of the JTIC2S to Help Provide Fires Targeting Capability and a Joint Fires Targeting Common Operational Pictures Across Forces," they will discuss:
Providing commanders rapid data, situational awareness, and visualization to successfully deliver fires
Leveraging a common back-end architecture, an open application programming interface and a common/intuitive role-based user interface shared by all fire support C2
Linking sensors-to-shooters without the need for specific hardware
Using a multi-vendor approach for contracting when building out iterative software such as this & AFATDS out
